Deborah and her class on leadership highlight the importance of understanding not only the responsibilities that come with leading but also the qualities that inspire others to follow. As a supervisor, Deborah brings real-world experience into the discussions, allowing her class to explore leadership from both a theoretical and practical perspective. She emphasizes that true leadership goes beyond titles and authority—it is about building trust, communicating effectively, and guiding a team toward shared goals. In her sessions, she encourages students to reflect on their own leadership styles, strengths, and areas for growth, fostering an environment where collaboration and self-awareness are key. The class often engages in case studies, group exercises, and scenario-based discussions to practice decision-making, conflict resolution, and political savvy in the workplace. Deborah also challenges her students to think critically about ethical leadership, reminding them that credibility and integrity are the foundation of influence. By combining structured lessons with interactive dialogue, she ensures her students leave with a deeper understanding of how leadership is not just about managing people, but about inspiring them, empowering them, and setting a vision that others believe in and want to achieve.

Amazing course! I must-do for anyone in HR, as classification has a lot of overlap in bot Staffing/Recruitment and Labor/Employee Relations!
Great. I learned a lot and have a better understanding about federal management positions.
Would recommend this course to my peers. Kimberly is very knowledgeable and helpful, easy to understand she took the the time to explain further when needed.
Great instructor, Marshal kept us on task and was great to work with.
I didn't realize there was so much that goes into managing my time. I took so much from the class and I have something to look back on when I put into practice on improving my current habits. Marshall was very interactive, gave us plenty of breaks to give me time to refresh, he was very professional and respectful of everyone in the class. He was friendly and had an upbeat attitude to make me feel engaged and not bored with learning the training material.
It was a good class and Mr. Marshall was a wonderful instructor! He was very professional and polite.
Karen was wonderful and very professional. She was engaging and provided a lot of information and guidance.
I learned a lot and I hope to put the course materials to good use. Interesting topic and new perspectives about conflict. Dit was very engaging and knowledgeable.
This class pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way. I've gained so much confidence and can't wait to apply what I've learned.
Excellent class, the instructor provided details needed.
I came away feeling better energized to speak with my managers and organizations regarding some of the issues they are experiencing based upon the knowledge that I was provided over the last 2 days.
