GRADUATE SCHOOL USA PARTNERS WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO DELIVER VIRTUAL TRAINING

Graduate School USA (GSUSA) has partnered with the National Park Service (NPS) Human Resources division to close out Fiscal Year 2020 with virtual instructor-led and self-paced online human resources training to help enhance bureau efficiencies. The training, which began in May 2020, will continue through September 2020.

Initially discussed as face-to-face offerings, the threat of COVID-19 and the transition to a remote workforce shifted the offerings to a combination of accredited courses through virtual instructor-lead and self-paced online training. The goal of the NPS has always been to focus on its internal efficiencies that ultimately impact how the bureau services the general public. After conducting a climate assessment, which included an examination of workforce efficiencies, the NPS determined that HR training would heighten organizational effectiveness.

“Graduate School USA’s ability to quickly adjust to our agency partners’ ever changing environment and requirements has been critical to remaining the federal government’s long-standing training partner. We are pleased to be able to continue that success with this partnership with the National Park Service,” said GSUSA President and CEO Jack Maykoski.

NPS has a goal to simultaneously have their staff trained with the essential tools to be uniformly prepared to perform at a high level of accountability by October 1, 2020.
