In today’s restrained fiscal environment, accounting skills and analytical capabilities are essential in meeting the challenges ahead. There is a critical need for a federal accounting option. Graduate School USA's A.A.S. in Accounting will meet the needs of the federal financial management community.
Graduate School USA offers an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting degree designed to prepare students who plan to seek immediate employment in entry-level accounting positions, or who are presently employed in accounting and allied fields and desire career advancement. Students are given a strong educational grounding and practical experience in many different areas of study.
Completion of the program, when other U.S. Office of Personnel Management requirements are met, qualifies students to apply for federal accounting positions above the GS-5 level and federal contracting positions in the GS5-GS12 range.
Also available through this curriculum are the Accounting Certificate (Federal Accounting Job Series 510, 511, and 512) and Contracting Certificate (Federal Contracting Job Series 1102). These certificate options serve those students who want to upgrade their professional skills but do not necessarily wish to complete the Associate of Applied Science Accounting degree.
