The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and recommended college credit for a number of Graduate School USA's courses. The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research and program initiatives.
ACE CREDIT connects workplace learning with colleges and universities by helping adults gain access to academic credit at colleges and universities for formal courses and examinations taken in the workplace or other settings outside traditional higher education.
For more than 30 years, colleges and universities have trusted ACE CREDIT to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate their decisions to award academic credit. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT Transcript Service website at http://www.acenet.edu/acecredit.
Graduate School USA chose the ACE College Credit Recommendation Service because they evaluate and make credit recommendations for formal educational programs and courses sponsored by noncollegiate organizations who are non-degree granting and who offer courses to their employees, members or customers. These credit recommendations are intended to guide colleges and universities as they consider awarding credit to persons who have successfully completed non-collegiate-sponsored instruction.
All ACE-approved course designations are identified in the individual course descriptions listed in our catalogs and on our website. As a service to our students, we have provided the link to the location of our reviewed courses in the online ACE National Guide.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Continuing Education Units provide a nationally recognized permanent record of your lifelong learning experiences. In addition, the CEUs you earn in our training courses may be used to satisfy some of the requirements for our certificates. You receive one CEU for every ten - sixty-minute hours of participation in our courses (excluding lunch and breaks). Completing our CEU/CPE registration form enables us to track and maintain your record of accumulated CEUs throughout your career, regardless of where you work.
Continuing Professional Education Credits (CPE)
Many of Graduate School USA's daytime courses, particularly in acquisition, auditing, and financial management offer continuing professional education credit (CPE). States and many professional organizations have CPE requirements to meet standards, maintain CPA licenses and professional certification to improve the professional proficiency of the individual and the quality of the financial management and auditing professions. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, individual state boards of accountancy, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, the Association of Government Accountants, U.S. Government Accountability office are a few of the organizations and agencies that require CPE. Each 50 minutes of a program or training activity will be recorded as one CPE credit.
