Welcome to Graduate School USA!

We are an active learning community with a rich history that spans nine decades.
Our range of programs and services includes continuing education, academic
programs, career development and certificate programs--all designed to serve the
needs of organizations and individuals in both government and the private
sector.
In the midst of change, Graduate School USA values our role as the government’s
continuing education provider of choice through our
Center for Government
Training and Professional Development. Each year we add new courses to our
curricula that meet the emerging needs of our government customers. See
What's
New in 2013.
We are also proud to build on our 90 years as a responsive, cutting-edge
institution by broadening our credit and
Academic Programs to include new
opportunities for students seeking to expand their academic credentials. The
credit programs under development are designed for students who have new
professional goals in mind or want to excel and advance in their current
occupations. Students can pursue education options that prepare them to enter
the workforce, earn professional certifications in particular specialties, and
enhance their opportunities for advancement. Watch for announcements of upcoming
associate degrees and credit certificate programs.
This dual focus enables the School to be more responsive to the changing needs of government and the private sector. Consistent with our legacy, we will continue to grow and adapt as government and industry evolve, remaining a leader in professional development.

In 2009, Graduate School USA acquired most of the assets of
Southeastern
University. A Washington, DC institution with a 130-year history and strong
roots in the community, Southeastern’s mission closely aligns with that of the School. A private, not-for-profit institution, Southeastern was focused
on meeting the needs of underserved populations by providing small classes,
affordability, subject expertise, and a supportive environment. With an emphasis
on linking education to employment, the Southeastern model echoes our own
priorities over the years. As we launch our degree and certificate programs in
management and the allied health fields, we reaffirm our own mission and honor
the work for which Southeastern was known.
Serving 200,000 participants annually in more than 600 courses, we offer classes and programs in a broad range of government-based specialties, such as governmental financial management and auditing, human capital management and acquisition, as well as courses that appeal to a broader base (foreign languages, economics, leadership and management, and the latest software training).
To extend our reach both locally and globally, Graduate School USA has
enthusiastically embraced educational media new to adult continuing education.
These new formats expand beyond the traditional instructor-led classroom and
correspondence programs, and include cutting-edge formats (such as our
GS
Connect platform) for distance learning; online training; and satellite, video
and computer-enhanced learning.
Effective November 2012, Graduate School USA is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267) 284-5000.
