Learning Outcome Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to interact using intermediate-level Russian grammar and vocabulary and be more familiar with Russian culture.
Instruction Major topics covered in the course include dative subjectless constructions; seasons and the instrumental case; months + prepositional case; invitations; prepositions k + dative; emphatic pronouns; asking where something is located; means of transportation; asking lengths of time; verbs of going; giving commands; forming and using the imperative; and short-form past passive verbal adjectives for reading.
Vocabulary topics will include giving directions; modes of transportation; seasons; telephone etiquette and seasons.
Methods of instruction include grammar presentations, group conversation, listening practice, role playing and final examination.
