Syllabus, Graduate School, USDA Objective
To provide students with knowledge of intermediate-level Russian grammar and vocabulary, while also improving their reading, writing and oral skills.

Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to interact using intermediate-level Russian grammar and vocabulary and be more familiar with Russian culture.

Instruction
Major topics covered in the course include dative subjectless constructions; seasons and the instrumental case; months + prepositional case; invitations; prepositions k + dative; emphatic pronouns; asking where something is located; means of transportation; asking lengths of time; verbs of going; giving commands; forming and using the imperative; and short-form past passive verbal adjectives for reading.

Vocabulary topics will include giving directions; modes of transportation; seasons; telephone etiquette and seasons.

Methods of instruction include grammar presentations, group conversation, listening practice, role playing and final examination.
