Introduction to Grasses Identification

Overview:
Explore the biology, identification, and classification of one of the most important plant families in the world. The introductory course will offer an overview of the ecological and economic significance of grasses (think corn, rice, and wheat), while emphasizing local native and introduced species of the Mid-Atlantic region. Two field trips will provide hands-on practice in field identification. Field Trip Dates are TBD.

This course is part of the Certificate of Accomplishment inNatural History Field Studies.
